The concerns surrounding per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) seem insurmountably ubiquitous—from propagating drinking water sources, seeping deep into soil, even creeping into popular skincare products. Our daily lives cross paths with these forever chemicals, which are rightfully top of mind for anyone having anything to do with developing anything—communities, infrastructures, consumer goods, and more. Part of what’s contributed to the persistence of this problem has been the longstanding lack of effective treatment options or the high costs and lack of control at the Site Owner level of existing ones. Coupled with growing EPA mandates and manufacturing restriction measures, the urgency for an advanced solution to neutralize the threat of PFAS has never been greater.
